Bracklesham & Earnley
A popular holiday destination for families, Bracklesham Bay attracts bathers, divers and windsurfers alike to the choice of caravan parks and holiday villages. Although possessing less amenities than nearby East Wittering, Bracklesham does have a range of restaurants, shops and takeaways and a post office. It is one of the few places in the country where fossils are numerous and can be found all year round, however budding geologists are best to visit during the winter when the clay beds are exposed.
Earnley is an attractive rural village approximately a mile from Bracklesham and is surrounded by open countryside and wonderful views. Visitors are attracted to Earnley Gardens where they can see the tropical butterfly house, covered theme gardens and exotic bird garden and new in 2004 the 'Noah's Ark' animal rescue centre. Sussex Beach Holiday Village is a popular holiday destination with self catering apartments and chalets.
